you are 30 weeks old!

you are doing so much new stuff all the time!

you scoot around on the floor by getting your knees up under you a little bit and then pushing with your legs. it won't be long before you figure out how to crawl, i think.

you might be waving. i've seen you do it a couple times when people wave at you or talk to you. it's too soon know whether it's a coincidence or not. but i think you're doing it!

i also think maybe you said "dada" on purpose this morning. you've been saying it indiscriminately for a while now, but this morning, you were sort of fussing in your exersaucer, and daddy walked in, and you got excited and said "dada!" so who knows. i think you're one smart cookie, and i think babies probably do things like that faster than we realize they're doing it. so the odds are in your favor.

you love to chew on spoons. they're one of your favorite toys.

you also love to play in the water and kick your little legs like a frog.

this week you tried carrots, and you sort of like them, but you really like to blow or spit them out. messy girl. tonight i tried taking off your shirt, but you still got it all over your pants. tomorrow, it's just a diaper and a bib. i'm sure you prefer that anyway.

we've been looking at a lot of houses lately, because we want to buy one! that's exciting, and i can't wait to fix up rooms for you and sam. the realtor ladies rave about how good you and sam both are, to be so patient and sweet.
