while daddy was gone to do hurricane relief in mississippi, you and your brother and i took a road trip.
we went to see your grandpa, where you took your very first boat ride, on beautiful lake ouachita! you licked the life jacket, just like sam licked it when he wore that one a few years back. it was a little large on you, but you were safe and bouyant. i think. i mean, we didn't test your bouyancy, but we assumed you were.
then we went to the fords' house, where misty helped me/taught me how to make a quilt for you.
it's not quite finished, but i think it's going to be fantastic. then, we went to see your grandma and pappy and nany, and then we went to see your cousins! boy, everyone sure loves your big cheeks!you had a hard time adjusting to all the traveling. on the way from hot springs to bartlesville, you cried about an hour and a half! that wasn't real fun for anyone, but you wore yourself out and finally fell asleep. here's a picture of you sleeping in until about 10am the next morning.
daddy said you got bigger while he was gone.

wow elisabeth, you must be one of the coolest babies ever because you got your mom to smile and pose for a picture! she must like you a lot! and i must say that the life jacket is super cute.
