Happy Four Months Birthday!

wow, four whole months ago, you were born! it doesn't seem like that long, but on the other hand, it's hard to remember you not being here.

this past month it seems like you changed so fast and so much! you plumped up a whole lot and have big chunky cute legs to match your cheeks! and you are getting so strong with your legs and your back and all. we haven't been great about tummy time, so you're not rolling over or anything, but i think it won't be too long before you're sitting up.

you don't go to the doctor again until the 13th of april, unless we can call and get you in sooner. so lucky you, no shots for a couple weeks! but we can't find out how big you are until then, so that's a little disappointing. that's okay, though, because you're healthy and everything is great!

here's a picture of you at the park. we went there with bella and britney. we were too afraid of anger and hungriness to try and get you girls to pose together, but we will soon!

you are seventeen weeks old!

i think daddy was right about you getting bigger while he was gone! you loved all the attention you got on your first big road trip, but i think you are glad to be back home in your own bed and your routine and with your whole family all together.

you had your first spring break!

while daddy was gone to do hurricane relief in mississippi, you and your brother and i took a road trip.
we went to see your grandpa, where you took your very first boat ride, on beautiful lake ouachita! you licked the life jacket, just like sam licked it when he wore that one a few years back. it was a little large on you, but you were safe and bouyant. i think. i mean, we didn't test your bouyancy, but we assumed you were.

then we went to the fords' house, where misty helped me/taught me how to make a quilt for you. it's not quite finished, but i think it's going to be fantastic. then, we went to see your grandma and pappy and nany, and then we went to see your cousins! boy, everyone sure loves your big cheeks!

you had a hard time adjusting to all the traveling. on the way from hot springs to bartlesville, you cried about an hour and a half! that wasn't real fun for anyone, but you wore yourself out and finally fell asleep. here's a picture of you sleeping in until about 10am the next morning.

you are sixteen weeks old!

this post is a few days late, because you and sam and mommy have been traveling all over the place while daddy was away for spring break.

on monday, you were 16 weeks old! here's a picture of you looking fabulous at family park, in Hot Springs. that's where we were, so you didn't get your usual pose on the couch at home.

more on your week later! we are all exhausted.

you are fifteen weeks old!

and so happy! we can barely remember the nights you'd cry and cry and cry for hours. hopefully you can't remember them either. you have a smile for pretty much everyone who makes eye contact with you, and i think you were trying to kiss me today!!

you love to chew on your hands, as you can see here, and you drool a whole lot! we're still checking for teeth on a regular basis but not finding any yet.

you've been having fun going on walks with your friends and enjoying the warm, pretty weather! you really like the wind on your toes. i think you got that from me!!

now PLEASE don't take this the wrong way,

but there is something about the shape of your little lips when you smile that i think makes you look a little bit like a turtle!
i wouldn't say that if i didn't think this turtle was completely precious. i feel a nickname coming on...

you are fourteen weeks old!

i finally got to hear you laugh! you laughed at amber and margie and misty on sunday, and today i got you to laugh by making farty noises on your face and belly, and dad got you to laugh by making silly faces.

you have gotten a little mommy-clingy this week, but i don't mind too much, because i kind of like you.

you have another new friend!

bella is here! she was born on wednesday night, 3 months and 1 day after your birthday. we went to see her in the hospital, and you kinda screeched at her. i guess you were scolding her for taking so long. maybe when she gets home you can have a photo shoot together. meanwhile, here is a picture of her by herself.
